About IEEEP (Karachi)

Engineering to us doesn’t only involve solving problems; rather it entails a wholesome approach towards improving the standard of living of the fellow being.

With this in mind, the electrical and electronics engineers formed IEEP (Institution of electrical and electronics engineers Pakistan) with its head office Lahore.

IEEEP Karachi centre was formed in 1979 as a local chapter in the business and economic hub of the country. It is proud to have very accomplished engineers in its fold who have found affiliation with then centre as the most rewarding experience. Moreover, participation in its activities has served as the best means of repaying their profession through voluntary efforts.

Our Aims

  • To promote the dissemination of knowledge and to improve the professional standard thereof
  • To invite members to discuss, debate and propose issues related to the engineering profession and lay down professional code of ethics
  • To strive towards improving the standard as professional and general education as well as practical training
  • To promote knowledge, research and development by arranging grants or loans of money, books, apparatus, or any other matter
  • To foster coordination with similar institutions in other countries for mutual benefit and furthering the objectives of the institution
  • To hold and promote exhibitions
  • To advices the industry, government and commercial establishments on matters concerning professional practice
  • To provide means of communication between the employers and professional members

  • INTERNATIONAL MULTI-TOPIC SYMPOSIUM
    • The hallmark of IEEEP Karachi Centre. Provides an excellent opportunity, annually, to assimilate the latest information.
  • ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING EXHIBITION
    • Usually held alongside the symposium, it provides a tremendous opportunity to display products to professionals who matter.
  • STUDENT SEMINAR
    • Participated by universities all over the country in Electrical, Electronics, Computer and Telecommunication Engineering, as well as IT.
  • TECHNICAL SEMINARS
    • A monthly event instrumental in disseminating the latest information regarding a singular product, service or practice.
  • STUDY CIRCLE
    • Conductor from time to time to discuss and deliberate upon various issues faced by the electrical and electronics engineering community.
  • TECHNICAL COMMITTEES
    • Formed on the basis of suggestions from the study circles to pursue matters in accordance with proposed courses of action.
  • PERIODIC MEETINGS
    • Fortnightly meetings to assess progress on various activities of the center, as well as discuss and evaluate new ideas.
  • ON-LINE ACTIVITIES
    • Information regarding the latest activities of the local chapter, job opportunities, etc. is displayed on the website.
  • SOCIAL GATHERINGS
    • Dinners and other social gatherings are held periodically to help members unwind, and enhance interaction amongst them.
